Electricity - Load Shedding

Thursday evening at 6:30 we were just settling down to watch "Yes Prime Minister" on a DVD when suddenly all the power went off and we were left completely in the dark. Apparently due to power distribution problems in the flooded areas in the south of Nepal, the electricity company has had to increase the level of "load shedding" to 16 hours a week. Previously we lost power for 2 hours on Friday night and the same on Sunday night. Now we will be losing power for over two hours every day but at different times throughout the day! So life is having to be organised around when there is and isn't electricity, but at least we know when it is going to happen!
Apparently this will continue through the winter and the number of hours without electricity may increase........hey ho!!

Morning Ellen, morning Colin, - Love the photo of the elephant - looks like everyone is sitting around while the elephant does the work (not quite like the manse building site). Animals appear to be your speciality - has the Tiger at the zoo got over his dodgy tummy yet? It's good to hear that you have settled quite quickly into some work for/with Judith. Keith and Wendy Palmer tell me they sent some of Jonny's football shirts to Addis, where Dereje gave them to some local children who started coming to church as a result. Might try that in Woodbridge! - We have prayed for you every other Sunday in church and we pray for you as a family - The Hardinghams
