Thursday night..and Friday morning

Thursday night we went out for a meal with Judith. Whilst in the restaurant the heavens opened and it tipped down. Walking back home we were literally wading through the most unpleasant, cold, brown water. The rain continued through the night but fortunately did not come into the hostel.
Friday morning at 5 the electricity goes off and the fan stops! We wake up.
About 6 someone in the school behind tries, for about 45 minutes, to start their generator ensuring that we stay awake.
Around 6:30 the phone goes and it is Judith to tell us that the opposition party has called a transport strike so there will be no buses, line taxis or other public transport! In view of this the school behind our house closes, so much for their efforts to start the generator!!!
Still at least the air quality improves without the pollution from the buses.
The sky also clears so that for the first time we can see the Himalayas.
So every strike reveals a snow capped mountain!!!
