Many thanks to all our friends from Woodbridge Quay church for a great service of farewell last Sunday 20 July. Thank you especially for your prayers, gifts and encouragement for our visit to Nepal.
Your prayers for our Indian visas have been answered as we should receive them in to post, tomorrow Saturday. We have to say that this has been a real test of faith as we were fully anticipating having to go down to London to retrieve our passports with or without the visas.
The Lord does test us at times!
We had a good time with my parents in Bradford on Avon on Monday and Tuesday. We also met some friends who we had been out in Ethiopia with when we did VSO. They live in Bradford on Avon and had literally just returned from Nepal where they have been for 16 months doing another stint of VSO. They gave us a good insight into conditions in Nepal and if we follow their example we should lose weight quite quickly once we are living in Kathmandu!!!!
We have now started packing to make sure we can get everything into our cases and still keep under the 20kg weight limit that we each have. Quite a challange when we are packing both summer and winter clothes.
Just 8 days to go before we fly out.
